Telehealth
MRHA provides telehealth advocacy and policy education; works with hospitals to implement telehealth systems: assists organizations with the technical assistance necessary for developing telehealth programming; and helps with grants and funding opportunities for telehealth implementation with a focus on assisting non-profits and small clinics – among other services.
Telehealth has the potential to deliver otherwise unavailable medical services to remote locations. It also creates a two-fold opportunity for rural providers — provider education and patient access to care. MRHA has partnered with Avera Care to address access barriers to care and health professional shortages through an initiative called the Avera eCARE® Emergency and Avera eCARE® Hospitalist Program.
To improve telehealth options in rural Missouri, MRHA also:
- Provides telehealth advocacy and policy education
- Works with hospitals to implement telehealth systems
- Assists organizations with the technical assistance necessary for developing telehealth programming
- Helps with grants and funding opportunities for telehealth implementation with a focus on assisting non-profits and small clinics CONNECT via Telehealth
